Billy has been on the islands renting sailboats, giving lessons, renting bikes and providing beach services at some of the best resorts for the past 30 years. He was one of the first operators to establish beach service and sailboat rentals on Fort Myers Beach. For the past 20 years he's exclusively been on Sanibel and Captiva Islands. There's not much he doesn't know about this area and how to best enjoy it. In an effort to reach more visitors, rather than just the guests at the resorts, Billy acquired a new location that was known as Island Moped, expanded it, and made "Billy's Rentals". At his new location, 1470 Periwinkle Way, he rents motor scooters, surreys, bikes, and all the extras including an array of beach equipment. He is now able to provide service with that friendliness to tourists that he was known for at his resort locations.

She has been an associate for the past 6 years. Before this location was purchased by the Kirkland’s the past owners employed her for 9 years. Originally from Vermont Holly has lived in Florida’s Sanibel area for most of her life. Being raised around the bike shop she has learned a lot about the bikes. This knowledge is what enables her to teach her staff the ins and outs of the bikes and what it takes to stay positive in a fast paced customer service oriented work place. She also enjoys the beach and spending quality time with her son. Meet Chris the Bike Shop and Sales Manager of Billy's Bikes With our new bike shop now open we are proud to have Chris come on board.
Chris, with his wife Vetra, and 2 dauchaunds, has been visiting Sanibel for 25 years. After 10 years of Indiana winters, Chris and family relocated to the west coast of Florida in 2003.
Starting in the bicycle industry when he was 14 years old, Chris has been at it ever since! His experiences have taken him from the local neighborhood shop, to traveling the world with both amateur and professional cycling teams, and now to the tropical paradise called Sanibel.
With his skills and experiences, Chris is glad to help you enjoy cycling on beautiful island of Sanibel.
Debbie Manager Billy's Beach Service West Wind Inn Lots of old time islanders know Debbie Stice because she grew up on Sanibel and Captiva. She can tell many stories about growing up on Captiva, and her mother worked for Roshenberg (sp I mean the artist). Her dad built some homes on Captiva.
She has worked for us since November 2003 as a retail and rental person at our West Wind Inn location. She does all jobs including “concierge” services for guests, Island information, Selling retail in our gift shop and renting bicycles and beach chairs. |
