A "Hybrid design" is between a Cruiser Bicycle and a Flatbar or Road bike design.

This is the bike for those looking for a faster-paced, more upright position, or looking to ride more miles.

Featuring

• Narrower wheels than our cruiser bikes.
• 21 speeds
• Lower, narrower, and less curved handlebars than our cruisers.
• Handbrakes
• Quick-release seat adjustment.

Since there's no room for a front basket (just a small soft bike bag), this is not typically a "out shopping bike".

The attached Trail-A-Bike

This is a good option for kids currently learning to balance on a bike using training wheels (up to age 8 or 90lbs).
The Trail-A-Bike enables young riders to travel farther, and it's safer because the adult controls the pace, steering, and braking.

Features a freewheel, which means.

• The child can help assist in pedaling you both forward.
• If your passenger gets tired and stops pedaling or pedals backwards, you keep moving forward without the "joy" of unrequested resistance or braking!
• The adult controls the steering and braking!

• Capacity: Carries 1 child
• Load Capacity: 80 lbs
• Propulsion: Pedaling - Singlespeed Freewheel (no brake)
• Safety:
  • Bike helmets are required for children.
  • The driver must be able to compensate for the balance of the bike, attachment, and child when the child leans to either side.
  • Do not allow the child to board or sit on the attachment without a driver supporting the main bicycle.
  • Do not leave the child on the attachment unattended! The kickstand is unable to support the weight of a child on the attachment.

This included attachment is a "child's portion" of a bike that can be attached to MOST* adult bikes to create an adult/child tandem.

*Attachments can only be fitted to customer-owned bikes* onsite at Billy's Rentals.
We suggest renting a combo bike with the attachment installed from Billy's Rentals.
**For Safety, we can not install attachments to the following.

• Bikes with existing attachments, racks, trailers, and child seats.
• Bikes designed for more than one rider,
• Long bicycles, such as cargo, recumbent, or tandem bicycles.
• Bikes with a frame of 15" or less.
