Here's a "child's portion" of a bike that can be attached to most* adult bikes to create an adult/child tandem.

The Trail-A-Bike attachment is a safer option since it has a freewheel, which means that the adult controls the steering, pace, and braking.
Your child does not have to pedal if they get tired.
This is a great option for kids currently using training wheels and those who can balance a two-wheeler (up to age 8)

• Propulsion: Pedaling - Singlespeed Freewheel (no brake)
• Safety: Bike helmets are required for children.
  The driver must be able to compensate for the balance of both bikes when the child leans to either side.
  Do not allow the child to board or sit on the attachment without a driver supporting the main bicycle.

Important: Attaching to Your Personal Bike

Your safety is our top priority. If you wish to use your own personal bike, please read these rules carefully.

• Installation at Our Shop: All attachments must be fitted to your bike by our professional staff at our Billy's Rentals shop.
• Schedule Required: You must arrange a pickup and return time with us in advance so we can schedule your installation.
• Delivery Fee: Installation at our rental yard is included. If you require us to come to your location for installation (on-site), a Special Delivery Fee will apply.
• Billy's Rentals will not be liable for any damages or injuries.

For Safety: We CANNOT Attach To...

We reserve the right to refuse installation on any bike we deem unsafe. We cannot install attachments on:

• Bikes with a frame size of 15" or less.
• Bikes with an odd steatpost size or length too short. The seat post must meet the minimum insertion length.
• Bikes with the ride height of the seat set too low. The seat post must have more than 3.5 inches of seatpost exposed for the attaching adapter.
• Bikes that already have any other attachments (racks, child seats, trailers, etc.).
• Bikes designed for more than one rider (e.g., tandems, cargo bikes, or recumbents).
